Accessories
In this section you will find everything from insect repellent to power adapters; and from money belts to toiletries and wash kits. Perhaps not the most crucial part of your packing list, but very annoying if you get it wrong.
Clothing
As the Germans say 'There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!' As is the case on any journey through varied climates or terrains, we recommend layers of light-weight, quick-dry clothing. Check out this comprehensive range of clothing from North Face, Berghaus, Mountain Hardwear and more.
Footwear
Depending on the trip we would usually recommend a comfortable pair of "trail walkers/cross trainers" for hiking and activities, plus a good pair of sandals for use around camp or in town. Have a look and find the footwear that will be most appropriate for you while on tour.
Headlamps & torches
A good torch is another essential piece of gear on many Wild Frontiers trips. While camping, staying in homestays and guesthouses or simply in places where electricity is sporadic a torch can save the day. Why not opt for an environmentally friendly wind-up torch, or the new style Petzl headlamp torches are your best bet to keep your hands free.
Rucksacks and backpacks
On all of our trips we recommend a small backpack to carry everything you need throughout the day (camera, i-pod, water bottle, sunglasses etc). And for most of our tours - trekking, horse rding or ones of a cultural nature - we prefer soft bags and rucksacks to suitcases. They are much more versatile.
Sleeping bags & accessories
A must on all tours that involve camping. All types of sleeping bag are available, from light weight synthetic bags for summers in the Georgian hills to heavy weight down bags to keep you extra warm in the extremes of the High Pamir.
Water bottles
Sharing bottles of mineral water is one of the fastest way to pass on germs. We feel therefore that on many trips this is another "must have" item.
