Major Highlights? All of it! I honestly did not have a dull moment. A word I did not expect to use for Iran is romantic, but it is. Especially the beautiful Bravant Valley and of course fabulous Isfahan.

Paul & Sally Dobinson - Iran: Wild Walk in the Highlands of Talesh

The tour for us was taking us outside of our comfort zone. We had never experienced “homestays” before. The sheer beauty of the Talesh mountains was breathtaking. To be in such an environment above the clouds was dreamlike. The tour was made special by the Iranian people that we met, both those that were helping to guide us and those we met in the course of the tour. The Iranian’s hospitality was fantastic... the meal with the family in Masouleh was fantastic. The trek and scenery was superb and being one of the first to experience it was very special. The homestays and the warmth of the families that looked after us were incredible. We have never felt so welcome in a country It was pretty much perfect – a truly memorable trip.

The Land of the Peacock Throne tour was, for me, a hugely enjoyable experience - a fascinating country and people, with an immense richness of culture and history. For me, the highlights were the cities of Shiraz and Esfahan.

I like to visit places that aren’t tourist traps. I’ve always been interested in Middle Eastern culture (especially Iran)... Don’t believe the media hype! Iran has the friendliest and most welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. In addition, it is also blessed with beautiful scenery and vibrant cities. This is a great introductory trip to Iran and will undoubtedly leave you wanting to return.

This trip to Iran is an eye-opener. One can read about the historic sites of Persia, but one is unprepared for the friendliness of the delightful Iranians and the fact that Iran is a modern state of charm and beauty.

I always wanted to go to Iran. The highlight of this trip was the Bazm country walk (wanted more of that!), but Isfahan was also amazing, and I liked Yazd a lot. The ruins at Persepolis and Shiraz was also lovely. Talking to local people was really good.

‘Safety’ was one of the reasons I chose to go to Iran in small organised group. I needn’t have had any such concerns. My overwhelming impression was that the Iranian people who came up to us to chat - and there were many – were warm, friendly, charming and sincere. Their generosity and kindness of spirit has left me with a real appreciation of both Iran and of Iranians. This, coupled with magnificent mountain scenery, wide open spaces, romantic gardens and wonderful architecture, made for a superb trip destination.
