HFYc8jShhMY K2 Trek and Baleygon School This video was shot by Jonny Bealby, founder and MD of Wild Frontiers, during our inaugural charity trek to K2 in September 2010. The holiday took 3 weeks, with 15 days trekking - including 10 days on the Baltoro Glacier. In the end the group raised an amazing £16,000 for Baleygon School in northern Pakistan.

This is really the crown jewels of horse riding holidays, offering you the chance to get up close and personal with all of Africa's wonderful wildlife from the vantage point of the saddle. The horses, the tack, the food and of course the guiding are all second to none. Whilst this won’t be the least expensive trip you ever do, it is sure to be one of the best.

Wild Frontiers have been running trips to Northern Pakistan, and in particular the valleys of the Kalash for 15 years, and we consider it our spiritual home. The festival, a time when the Kalash give offerings to the gods for a successful sowing season and plentiful harvest, gives a great opportunity to see a way of life that has changed little in a thousand years.

Wild Frontiers were running the first ever commercial horse trek through the country and the presenter of the Sunday evening, prime-time cultural affairs programme thought a bunch of Brits riding in Lord Byron's hoof prints was just too good an opportunity to miss! Apologies for the language, but we can confirm despite some rather iffy tack, it was one of the best horse adventures of the year.
