For anyone who is interested in the culture and history of this fascinating region but also enjoys a good walk and some adventure too, we feel this itinerary is perfect. Requiring only 5 days off work, we will take a stunning three day trek through the very heart of the Grand Caucasus Mountains, camping in the high pastures close to the Russian border, as well as visiting some of Georgia’s most impressive cultural sites. Georgia is a country that is overflowing with history and culture, has immense natural beauty and unrivalled hospitality. The food and wine is among the most delicious in Europe, and tourism is still in its nascent stage. If you have a taste for adventure but are pushed for time, this summer break will really blow your socks off.

The tour starts in Tbilisi although there is nothing planned as most people arrive late.
Many of Tbilisi's best sites are in close proximity which makes for a lovely walk through the town.
On a scenic drive we visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where legend says the Robe of Christ is buried.
We take a 2hr mountain walk to view Mt Kazbegi, Georgia's highest at 5047m then on to Juta at 2500m.
Tetu Peak is 3210m and offers phenomenal views of the Grand Caucasus Mountains that are unrivalled.
This is our hardest day but also the most visually rewarding as we cross Abodelauri Pass at 3500m.
We walk down to Roshka then drive on to the Aragvi River for some optional white water rafting.
We explore the town of Stalin's birth plus the cave town of Uplistsikhe before a farewell dinner.
The suggested flights depart early morning while for everyone else the tour ends after breakfast.
