This whole itinerary was one of the most fun, interesting and romantic things I have ever been lucky enough to do. Walking through the foothills of the Himalayas, staying with local familes in comfort and style was a wonderful way to expreience a real side of India and was definitely the highlight - I think this low impact tourism is really the way to go as everyone benefits - but all the other things we did where superb as well: travelling first class in our own sleeper couchet, spending two nights at a lovely hotel in the forest at Kalmatia, the walk itself, seeing the high peaks from Sitla, spotting tigers at Corbett and relaxing at Ananda (the massage here was one of the best I have ever had) all made for one of the most memorable holidays I have ever had. Truly a great experience.
