In 2001 I was all set up to go to Pakistan - deposit paid! - with another company when a friend informed me that if was going there, I just had to go with Jonny Bealby and WILD FRONTIERS. They were right. It was an outstanding trip, full of fascinating cultural experiences as well as luxury and adventure; we still talk about it today. Since then I have been on the Silk Road Mountains and Towns Tour and the Ladakh Lamayuru Festival Trek, both of which I enjoyed enormously. Now I am planning on Georgia in 2004. I cannot recommend these trips too much. Why? Because unlike other companies I've been with Wild Frontiers seems to have all the right ideas, in terms of places to visit and people to meet and, just as importantly, the groups they put together always seem to have the nicest people on them - some of whom have become friends for life. My only fear is that I run out of destinations. then again, I could happily do them all again!
