I enjoyed the High Road to Kashmir trip enormously - the scenery is absolutely stunning, every bend in the road provides fresh jaw dropping views. Ladakh has landscape on an amazing scale. Staying on a houseboat on Dal Lake was heavenly too - its probably the most romantic place on earth! Wild Frontiers organised a pre- and post-tour trip for us, so the first day of our holiday was spent at the Golden Temple in Amritsar and the last at the Taj Mahal, so we combined the most magnificent scenery with the most beautiful architecture in the world - the problem now is how to find another trip anything like as good.
