Where to start? The mix of desert solitude and classical sites was what really appealed, and the trip exceeded expectations. The desert landscapes were incredible - the sense of space, emptiness, and the force of nature. Leptis Magna and Sabratha must be amongst the best classicial sites in the world - and we had them almost to ourselves!A great escape - arab souks, fantastic ancient cities, the vast solitude of the Sahara, and throughout great Libyan hospitality - this trip gave us a real flavour into a fascinating country.
